When your transmission starts to give you problems or goes out completely, it is imperative that you get your car to a quality transmission repair shop. The first step in finding one is to get an accurate and fair quote on the costs of labor, parts and repair.
As a rule, never get a quote over the phone but in person. The costs should be outlined in writing and handed to you. This protects you from hidden costs that can be added on later. A phone quote that is not backed up in writing will give you no protection, as the price can easily change once you get to the shop.
